Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)
CSEC, an abbreviation for the commercial sexual exploitation of children, is a form of human trafficking, specifically child sex trafficking. CSEC occurs when minors exchange sex for anything of value (somewhere to stay, food, and/or technology). Youth experiencing CSEC are often taken advantage of by someone through false promises or emotional manipulation. If you are at risk for or are already involved, these programs can help. Being involved in CSEC does not mean you’ve broken the law and these programs will treat you with the respect you deserve.
